The Lord has been leading and teaching me in various aspects of bringing His Good News to the Jewish People over the last 40 years. Now the Holy Spirit is starting to touch the hearts of many believers with a longing to understand the Jewish roots of their faith. They want to learn to read the Bible as the Jewish document that it is, and develop their new identity as the sons and daughters of the rightful King of Israel in accord with His eternal covenant. People who know that God loves all the peoples of the world are now learning that He has shown a particular love for one specific ethnic group, one language and culture, one city and country, through whom He expresses His love for every country, city, culture, language, and ethnic group. The Lord has now given me a teaching role in connection with these eternal realities He is now bringing to Christians' awareness.
(I have an M.A. in clinical psychology, with a minor in linguistics, from North Texas University, an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Atlantic Southern Bible College, and several years experience in counseling and Jewish evangelism before founding Jewish Light Outreach in 1984. My wife Elaine was born into an Eastern-European-Jewish family in Atlanta, and first learned about Jesus as her Messiah through my witness while we were students together at Georgia State University. We have three sons and a grandson.) My current ministry with Jewish Light includes evangelism and Bible teaching in person and on the internet. I started this website just after Passover in 1996. In response to it I get more e-mail than I can possibly answer, from people asking for help with many different spiritual and personal issues. Away from the computer, I look for opportunities to teach wherever I can, at churches, Bible study groups, Messianic congregations, and colleges. I have recently written a short book on biblical history, and hope to have it published soon.
I need your prayer and financial backup. I get no salary for this work. Our only regular income is from individuals who want to make contributions. Bible teaching and counseling, necessary as they are, don't garner much financial support. For the three of us in the Penton household, for example, our adjusted gross income over the last several years averages considerably less than ten thousand dollars a year. If you love to study God's Word yourself, will you consider investing to help us continue to make His Word more available to others?
It appears that God plans to take the seemingly insignificant work of many of us who serve Him and put it together as only He can, into the multifaceted and magnificent success that only He will have credit for.
Financial contributions for our work are deeply appreciated and tax deductable under U. S. income tax laws. They may be mailed to:
Jewish Light/PEF
425 State Street, Suite #241

(Checks should be made out to Jewish Light Outreach.)
I am also available for speaking engagements.
